Read a recent article about Sam Gibbons from Petoskey's local arts and entertainment news weekly, the Graphic Sam Gibbons is a resident of Cross Village and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Many of his original oil paintings and prints have a nautical or maritime theme from capturing the Lighthouses and Freighters of the Great Lakes to historical sailing vessels. Sam has also captured in oil the beautiful landscape scenes in the Sturgeon Bay area of Northern Michigan. Sam makes his own frames for many of his nautical pieces from wood from Great Lakes shipwrecks. | |||||||||
