Artist: Robert Pool
Robert Pool is a photographer in the classic black and white manner, photographing scenes of northwestern upper Michigan for many years. He is now using archival digital inks and paper, the results of which can be seen in the gallery. Nature in Northern Michigan is an environment providing four seasons of totally unique vistas along the sea, the sky, the rivers, and rolling hills. The sweep of westerly winds across the lakes, dunes, and hills produces clouds of unique grandeur in spring and summer. Winter snow converts the northwest Michigan landscape into black and white tones and compositions of abstract purity.
He is a retired physician.
