I am a mother of three who retired from nursing at age 35 to pursue my artwork. Although my degree was not in the arts, I have had an innate need to be creative since early childhood. Fiber was my first love, but after moving to the North I began exploring watercolor, oil, acrylic and oil pastel, sometimes taking classes locally and always reading and studying on my own.|
My subject matter has included landscape, still life, abstract and figurative work and sometimes jewelry and clothing design. I am finding that I cannot be put in a box and must allow my creativity to take whatever form it will. I may not always know what or how I'll be creating, but I will continue to make art as a part of a lifelong exploration of my inner and outer worlds.
