I am a mother of three who retired from nursing at age 35 to pursue my artwork. Although my degree was not in the arts, I have had an innate need to be creative since early childhood. Fiber was my first love, but after moving to the North I began exploring watercolor, oil, acrylic and oil pastel, sometimes taking classes locally and always reading and studying on my own.
My subject matter has included landscape, still life, abstract and figurative work and sometimes jewelry and clothing design. I am finding that I cannot be put in a box and must allow my creativity to take whatever form it will. I may not always know what or how I'll be creating, but I will continue to make art as a part of a lifelong exploration of my inner and outer worlds.
