Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, I am now a Northern Michigan educator and artist. I have taught most elementary grades and art classes for many years. I have been an elementary principal and am currently a curriculum coordinator.  In college I minored in art, but not until moving to Petoskey did I take formal lessons. I have been able to combine my love of teaching students with my passion for painting. I teach watercolor at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey, Michigan, and to seniors at our school and a College for Kids class in the summer.

My work is on display in Boyne City, Harbor Springs, Mackinac Island, Beaver Island, Traverse City and here at the Northern Michigan Artists Market in Petoskey.

Most of my work is watercolor but I am also enjoying oils. I feel that a whole new world is open to me because of my involvement in painting. Right now I am working in miniature. I love the challenge and interest people show in my little easel paintings.

My husband Larry and I share an empty nest but enjoy visiting our daughter Kristen and her husband in Ft. Wayne Indiana. They have made us the proud grandparents of Will, the love of our life.
