31560 Handmade Knife -- Fleur de Lis
This 2016 Best of Show art knife (at the Wolverine Knife Collectors Club Annual Show) features a 4 5/8" 416 layer raindrop pattern Damascus blade incorporating a stylized version of the iconic fleur-de-lis symbol of French royalty fame and used by such organizations as the Boy Scouts of America. This symbol is repeated on the Boone and Crockett buck handle. The textured copper guard is paired with bronze to create a pleasing color contrast. The copper pommel is textured to match. The had tooled leather sheath further incorporates the fleur-de-lis and features a hammered copper medallion securing the knife. Over 200 hours of labor went into the knife-sheath combination. Included are a Fabulustre polishing cloth and small display stand.

31559 Handmade Knife -- Two Bastards
I hand file all of my blades with 8" bastard files. D2 (from which this knife is made) has about one-third the machine ability of regular carbon steel. That means it takes three times the effort to shape, machine or sand. Two new bastard files were required to bring this .220" thick by 4 1/8" blade to size. Add to that enough sandpaper to finish three knives! But D2 is legendary for maintaining its edge and some top makers still use this material, though I doubt they hand work it. As with all of my knives, I have added a few extras you have come to expect. I grooved the copper pommel and feral. i also angled the nickle silver guard to match the angled pommel. For a little drama, I spruced up the sheath with stippling and added a scalloped edge for that classic look. As the knife is comfortable in either hand, I made the sheath symmetrical to be worn on either hip by simply putting the knife in the other way and rotating the strap 180 degrees. It is stained medium brown to match the finest gun in your vault! As with every knife I sell, a Fabulustre polishing cloth and small display stand are included to present it properly. Seventy-five plus hours in this build.

30337 Handmade Knife -- Northern Lights
Northern Lights hails to Aurora Borealis, the magnificent light show we Northern night owls hold so dear. My most vivid viewing was on a caribou hunt just south of the Arctic Circle a decade or so ago. A full moon became a stunning diamond of white rays projecting from its circumference as I stood starstruck in the chilly Quebec air. So with this little knife I gave the 01 tool steel blade a delicate vine and thorn file job along the spine to catch the light and tickle the optic nerves. The guard and pommel are also filed to further catch your "winkers." The handle is of course "caribou bull" for authenticity of the far North. To top it all off is a fancy little custom made sheath with overlaying badge to invite curiosity within. Included of course is a fubulustre cloth to keep it sparkling and a small plastic display stand for your viewing pleasure. Over forty hours into this build.

31557 Handmade Knife -- Macabre
We all long for everlasting life and this old chap is likely to beat "Dance of Death" and enjoy the physical life long after we part. The 416 layer Alabama Damascus stock I selected for this knife is forged in the "raindrop" pattern. Upon closer inspection, the florally carved blade is actually a couple of grizzled characters, one human, one not. Something you might expect to see on the gates of the local mausoleum. A small floral design on the back of the handle adds a little bit of the funerary motif for the less squeamish. My "bear claw grip" carved into the trophy buck handle fits equally well in either hand and says that you have considered your own mortality and have come to grips with knowing that we will all cross "the velvet veil" someday. The pummel too, is Damascus and features the Maple River Knives logo, your assurance of one of a kind art knives. To round out the knife is a form fitted leather sheath. A Fabulustre polishing cloth and a small display stand are included at no extra charge. Seventy plus hours into the creation for just this reasonable price. '
