William Priest: Handmade Knife -- Fleur de Lis

This 2016 Best of Show art knife (at the Wolverine Knife Collectors Club Annual Show) features a 4 5/8" 416 layer raindrop pattern Damascus blade incorporating a stylized version of the iconic fleur-de-lis symbol of French royalty fame and used by such organizations as the Boy Scouts of America. This symbol is repeated on the Boone and Crockett buck handle. The textured copper guard is paired with bronze to create a pleasing color contrast. The copper pommel is textured to match. The had tooled leather sheath further incorporates the fleur-de-lis and features a hammered copper medallion securing the knife. Over 200 hours of labor went into the knife-sheath combination. Included are a Fabulustre polishing cloth and small display stand.
